The Brick Factory is hiring again! We are looking for an experienced Drupal developer to take the lead on planning and implementing innovative, effective websites and web solutions for our clients. We work with non-profits, trade associations, advocacy groups and brands, so there will be good variety in the work you do. Many of your projects will be major builds that you will oversee starting with the kick-off meeting, so you'll develop a deep knowledge of each project and become our resident expert on your projects.

We're a small, tight-knit company with a fun environment where employees support each other and ideas matter more than titles.

The Job:

-- Oversee and manage large projects to ensure successful implementation.

-- Collaborate with project team to consult on technical feasibility, project requirements and client expectations; help anticipate and plan for challenges.

-- Establish high-level development strategy on Drupal builds through architecture, configuration and module selection.

-- Contribute to the development of Programming Department goals, standards and performance expectations.

-- Contribute your ideas and expertise to help improve our processes, implement new technologies, and develop innovative solutions for our clients.

-- Contribute to the open source community.

What you bring to the table:

-- 4+ years PHP experience, ideally within a GNU/Linux, Apache, MySQL environment.

-- 2+ years Drupal experience.

-- Experience leading projects and working on cross-functional teams.

-- Drupal site building experience using: Features, Context, Panels, Display Suite, Views

-- Experience creating custom Drupal modules.

-- Proficient in SQL, relational databases (MySQL), JavaScript and familiar with AJAX and JQuery

-- Familiarity and experience using Git

--You're a problem solver. You would rather figure out the best solution than be told how to do it.

--You're organized. You can manage multiple projects with an eye on project specs, quality and schedule.

-- You're fun and easy to work with!!!

It would be great if you also:

-- Are involved in and contribute to the Drupal community

-- Have experience with some of: Drupal 8, Wordpress, Symfony, Vagrant, CLI, Server Management, Sass, Foundation (please indicate any experience with these in your cover letter).

What we'll bring to the table:

-- A great small-team environment, with plenty of opportunity to lead and learn.

-- A metro accessible office in downtown Washington, DC, if you're in the neighborhood. We're also open to remote employees / telecommuting.

-- A full-time, salaried position.

-- Budget for training and attending conferences (DrupalCon!).

-- Generous vacation/holiday/personal/sick/family leave.

-- We're an Equal Opportunity Employer

-- Additional perks and benefits like healthcare and 401k matching.
