If you save one life, you are a hero; if you save many lives, you are a nurse. They appear when needed, oblivious to their family's responsibilities. The job of a nurse is not as simple as it appears. They are still stressed as they deal with changes in patient's medical status. A minor error can lead to the patient's death. It is difficult to see patients who have been injured, have undergone surgery, or have died. But nurses do it firmly and try their hardest to save patients' lives in life-threatening situations; the rest is up to GOD.

Several historical facts illuminate the sacrifices made by medical frontline warriors. They, like the patients, become victims of fatal diseases that result in death. A recent COVID-19 pandemic kills not only millions of people worldwide but also many doctors and nurses. We must recognize the dedication and professionalism of doctors and nurses who prioritize saving the lives of those who have been affected over their own lives.

According to WHO, over 500,000 nurses and doctors were affected during and after the Pandemic's peak, with over 100,000 dying as a result of coronavirus. If they do not treat, even with limited resources and without vaccines, the number of people killed may rise.

We must come forward to recognize and honor nurses' efforts and professional work. Keep in mind that they are dealing with the most delicate aspect of saving human lives, where every second counts. They are uninterested in curing machines and other man-made objects, so celebrate International Nurses Day by praising and motivating them to increase their passion for saving lives. Nursing is more than a duty; it is a virtue that everyone in this profession practices every day.
