Position Details: 

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Fully Virtual, Sr. Drupal Developer/Architect to support our Federal contracts with the Department of Education and Department of Labor. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for selecting the correct technologies and software architecture to meet the business needs and requirements.
  • Present and discuss technology requirements and suggested solutions with the project team and client.
  • Estimate upcoming work for the development team.
  • Enhance and maintain a suite of Drupal-based Federal websites using best practices, industry standards, CI/CD and agile processes.
  • Lead the development of the analysis and produce a product roadmap for implementation.
  • Design CMS architectures that include database schema, content models, workflows, hosting environments, security and other components.
  • Design integrations required for key systems through APIs.
  • Identify and solve complex business problems and develop innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship Required 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s four (4) year degree in related field
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of recent experience as an enterprise level architect with emphasis on Drupal solutions
  • A minimum eight (8) years IT experience supporting development and deployment of large-scale systems with actionable, solution focused on web site design, development, and deployment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Drupal 9/10 architecture design.
  • Thorough understanding of Web technology configuration as it relates to performance.
  • Experience in supporting development teams using Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in XML-based information exchanges using the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) specification or similar data exchange standard.
  • Experience in supporting efforts to refactor code to support a service-based architecture.
  • Experience with various web applications and programming languages PHP, HMTL5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, MySQL, MariaDB, Drupal.
  • Integration experience with Google Analytics, JavaScript based Maps.
  • Experience integrating Drupal with Tableau or other visualization tools.
  • Experience work in Drupal based data collection systems, data analytics.
  • Experience with JSON, MySQL JSON fields, and use of a Drupal module/Excel like AgGrid.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong organizational and task management skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Acquia Certified Drupal Developer or comparable certification
  • Preferred experience with ED or DOL, or HHS
